PureTone Visuals is built for the Vibrant Visuals rendering pipeline in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. It reworks light, sky, and surface behavior instead of just adding a filter on top of the screen.

The look is cinematic but restrained. Contrast and saturation are pushed across highlights, midtones, and shadows, while block shapes and colors still read as vanilla.

Water gets full PBR treatment with metalness, roughness, and emissive maps, so reflections react to the sun instead of sitting flat. Two atmosphere identities ship inside the pack: a golden-violet default and a softer pastel-pink alternate.

Vibrant Visuals must be turned on in your video settings first. Without it, the pack has nothing to hook into.

PureTone Visuals

The sky in the PureTone Visuals shader runs on 20 custom keyframes covering the full day-night cycle. Colors shift gradually instead of snapping between states.

Rayleigh and Mie scattering are tuned for real depth, giving proper sun glow and clean horizon blending. Sunrise and sunset run through rich violet-to-magenta gradients, and the atmosphere covers every vanilla biome.

Violet Aurora at Night

Nights are the signature moment here. A rare animated aurora sweeps across the sky, built from additive-blended light beams rather than a flat texture.

The beams drift and pulse in width and height over their lifetime, so the curtain never looks static. It arcs wide above the player instead of hanging in one fixed spot, which makes each appearance feel different.

Lighting

Directional sunlight in the PureTone Visuals shader for Minecraft PE is warm and golden, backed by soft 1024-texel shadows. The illuminance ramp from daylight to night is smooth, with no harsh cut.

An alternate rose-toned lighting mode swaps in violet moonlight for a completely different mood. Over 50 local light sources are individually recolored, including torches, lanterns, candles, ores, portals, and froglights.

Color Grading and Fog

ACES tone mapping with a 6200K white balance keeps the image warm and natural. Highlights, midtones, and shadows are graded separately for cinematic contrast.

Two volumetric fog profiles are included. Pick cool blue-grey for a neutral world or rose-magenta to match the pink lighting mode.

Custom Henyey-Greenstein scattering handles light diffusion in air, water, and weather, so rain and mist behave the way they should.

Extras

A global PBR fallback gives every block, item, actor, and particle a baseline reflective sheen, so nothing looks out of place next to the reworked water. Custom biome colormaps retint grass, foliage, birch, evergreen, swamp, and mangrove areas.
