A portal to an apocalyptic universe has released the Cordyceps infection into Minecraft PE. The world is ruined, animals are rare, and darkness belongs to the infected. Only the strongest survive here. Stealth, planning, and light are your real weapons.

Cordyceps

Every run begins inside a bunker. Search it fully, because loot is hidden in corners and inside furniture.

The Cordyceps addon places starter gear here: health upgrade pills, throwable objects, a craftable dagger, a ghillie camouflage suit, canned food with a can opener, and anti-spore masks.

Medicine matters from minute one. Antifungal pills block spores for a limited time. Antibiotics remove the wither effect. Bandages give fast regeneration. Adrenaline and coffee give speed.

Turrets can be placed, repaired with iron ingots, and they never shoot the player.

Stealth and combat

Crouch in the camouflage suit and you go invisible. A stealth bar sits in the corner and fills as you kill. At 5/5 stealth locks until it drops back to zero.

Weak hits and small-caliber shots lock it instantly, so the Cordyceps mod rewards patience over spraying bullets.

Daggers are the clean solution. Do not swing them. Approach an enemy from behind and interact instead, and any common infected or NPC dies at once.

Craftable daggers have three uses. Ellie’s dagger has twenty and can be repaired on an anvil.

Throwables change fights completely. Bricks, cans, and explosives pull infected toward the noise and slow them heavily. A nail bomb kills almost anything caught nearby.

The infected world

Runners roam the surface on early days. Clickers wait in dark rooms and inside nests, where whole hordes sleep until something cracks under your feet.

Abandoned cities, sewers, laboratories, the Seattle hospital of the King Rat, and the military airport with the final Harvester boss all belong to the Cordyceps mod for Minecraft PE. More horror worth trying sits in the Scary Mods for Minecraft PE section.

Sewers hold gunpowder and processed sulfur. No ammunition is crafted without going down there first.

Block infection and safe zones

Spore blocks sometimes spawn a neutral stump. Other infected attack it, and every hit spreads fungal blocks across the ground, including the stump tree that infects almost any block in Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

Burn the stump early and the outbreak stops there.

Fungicide bombs kill fungal blocks. The compressed version destroys the spore flower pillar that buffs infected and weakens players.

For permanent safety, craft reinforced anti-Cordyceps blocks from gunpowder, metal, and sulfur, then activate them with the Anti Core. Fungus stays four blocks away from them.

NPCs and trading

FEDRA, WOLF, civilians, and the Fireflies stay neutral until provoked. Anyone with a backpack is a merchant, and stock is random per NPC, so trade often.

The Cordyceps addon also adds Joel, Ellie, Bill, Tommy, and Abby, each with unique trades. Special saddles, vehicles, flamethrowers, and night vision helmets come almost exclusively from them.

Hunter patrols spawn in groups of five and attack on sight. Clear all of them and a four-wave assault can trigger, with a strong reward at the end.

How to play it well

Download Cordyceps mod for Minecraft Bedrock, activate both packs, and start a fresh world. Burn spore blocks on sight. Carry cans, a mask, and one dagger at minimum.

Build near activated reinforced blocks. Treat every dark room as occupied, because it usually is.
