The biome is filled with Poplar trees in red, orange and yellow, each with its own leaves that play soft ambient sounds. The full Poplar wood set covers planks, stairs, slabs, fences, doors, signs, boats and more.

Low to the ground you will find Red Shrubs, which spread with bone meal, and Shelf Mushrooms that grow on Poplar logs and bounce when you land on them. Wool Stairs and Wool Slabs arrive in all sixteen colors for cleaner builds.

Chaos Cubed: Sulfur Caves and the Sulfur Cube

The second drop in the Minecraft Bedrock 1.26 branch sends you underground into the new Sulfur Caves biome, found by spotting rare sulfur springs on the surface.

The star of the drop is the Sulfur Cube, a passive mob with a strange appetite for blocks. Whatever it absorbs changes its physics, so wood makes it bouncy, ice makes it slippery, iron makes it heavy, wool makes it floaty, and TNT makes it explosive once you ignite it.

You can scoop a Sulfur Cube into a bucket, leash it, or shear it to reset it. Small ones grow larger, and large ones split in two when they die.

Builders get two full block sets in yellow sulfur and red cinnabar, each with stairs, slabs, walls, polished, brick and chiseled variants. Potent Sulfur placed underwater creates bubbling pools that release noxious gas and inflict Nausea on anything swimming nearby.

Stack Potent Sulfur over a magma block with water on top to build a geyser that launches players and mobs into the air. Watch for Sulfur Spikes too, as they grow on cave ceilings and floors and fall at random for damage.

Cave spiders now spawn naturally for the first time, the Bounce music disc hides in mineshaft minecarts down in the caves, and Vibrant Visuals gained per-biome lighting controls.

Tiny Takeover: Reworked Baby Mobs and the Golden Dandelion

The first drop in the Minecraft 1.26 branch gave every baby animal a brand new look. Baby cows, pigs, wolves, cats, rabbits, sheep, chickens, polar bears and mooshrooms all got fresh models, textures, sounds and hitboxes.

The Golden Dandelion arrived alongside them. Feed it to a baby animal and it stays small forever, perfect for tiny farms and decorative pens.

Name Tags also became craftable for the first time, made from paper, an ink sac and string instead of fishing or trading for them.

Xbox, Realms and Cross-Play in Minecraft 1.26

Every patch in the Minecraft 1.26 line keeps full cross-play, so Android, Xbox, PlayStation, Windows and Switch players share the same worlds and servers. A Realms subscription lets you host up to ten friends in a private world.

Chaos Cubed also added Parties, letting Xbox, PlayStation and Windows players group up, text chat, and move between worlds and Realms together.
