The Cushion

The Cushion is an item you place and interact with to sit on. Each is crafted from 3 Wool Slabs of a single color, giving 16 matching variants across the dye colors. It reads as a purpose-built seat rather than a repurposed stair or slab. For now it only shows in the creative inventory, as it does not generate inside Abandoned Camps yet.

Cushion placement rules

A Cushion aligns to the grid but rests on top of its support block, cannot be moved, and breaks if that block is removed. It has no collision, so it overlaps other objects, though not another Cushion.

Straw Bed

The Straw Bed lets you sleep through the night without setting a spawn point, leaving your existing respawn location untouched. It works once and is destroyed after use, and cannot be used in the Nether or the End. You craft it from 3 Hay Bales for 4 Straw Beds, a cheap way to pass the night on the move.

Abandoned Camp spreads to new biomes

Abandoned Camps now generate in the Pale Garden and Flower Forest biomes. They place procedural trees and now stock Straw Beds, and the wrong potion names in their loot tables were corrected. On a shared world or Realms, that means more camp finds to loot together across two extra biomes.

Dappled Forest polish in Minecraft 26.40.30

The Dappled Forest gets a polish pass. Its fog now matches other forest biomes, and the Orange, Red, and Yellow Poplar Leaves got texture reworks. Opaque Poplar leaves fix a black-background rendering issue, and the Poplar door and sign textures were corrected. On audio, ambient sounds for Poplar leaf blocks were updated, with new sound events for Red Shrubs and Poplar foliage.

This build clears several crashes: spawning more than one Iron Golem, world generation with double chests, and Concrete Powder converting into Concrete. Game servers now self-repair some player connection issues. Book and quill from worlds made before Minecraft 26.30 no longer freeze the game, and Arrows of Harming stop bouncing off entities and are removed correctly on hit. Brown and Red Mushrooms now generate on Crimson and Warped Nylium at any brightness but no longer under an open dark sky. A Vibrant Visuals fix also restores items and text that could turn invisible on some Android GPUs.
